The All Progressives Congress (APC) Zamfara State Chapter, has expressed shock over a Statement issued by the State Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party PDP Alhaji Hashimu Modomawa, over what is terms as “conflict of interest within the state executive council over security concern raised by one of it’s Member, Alh Abubakar Tsafe”.
In a statement by the Secretary of the All Progressive Congress APC Zamfara State Alh Sani Mono Mafara, the sta
tement noted that, Zamfara APC is not much concern about the issue raised by the Commissioner but, challenges what it called “the spirit of inclusiveness of the government of Matawallen Maradun which provided an avenue for Alh Abubakar Abdullahi Tsafe to emerged as member of the state executive council”.
Zamfara APC according to the statement wonders why PDP and indeed it’s government has boldly disowned the Commissioner for airing his views on sensitive issue of security concern as raised in his interview with Thunder Blowers Online News Medium/Tribune News paper noting that, it should have review his opinion not disowned him and link him to the opposition APC.
The APC State secretary therefore, put it to the ruling PDP in Zamfara State that, “since after the Supreme Court Verdict which transfered the victory of the APC Zamfara to the PDD, it has never entered in to any alliance that led to the appointment of any of it’s party member in the PDP government in the name of “inclusiveness” the statement reads.
Zamfara APC Secretary therefore argues that, “Alhaji Abubakar Abdullahi, Zamfara State Commissioner for Rural Development and Cooperatives was not and is not a member of All Progressives Congress, instead he is a member of Accord Party and even used it to contest for the position of Member, House of Representatives, Gusau /Tsafe Federal Constituency of Zamfara State in 2019 General Elections”.
To butress the position, the party Secretary provided attached with the release, a copy of list of cleared House of Representatives Candidates as contained in page 1083 of the INEC document where the name of Abubakar Abdullahi Tsafe appeared for the Accord Party.
The party Secretary further said, “Member of Accord Party, who contested an election under its platform cannot belong to All Progressives Congress family and can not be included in the so called “inclusive administration of Governor Bello Mohammed Matawallen Maradun” under the pretence of being a card carrying members of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
APC Zamfara therefore, candidly advise the PDP to desist from “blame game” and address issues the way they are and always refer it’s Commissioner for Rural Development as card carrying member of the Accord Party because that is where he belong.
Sani Mono pointed at the ruling PDP that, “It has been a year now that you have been in the mantle of leadership, what the citizens of the State expect from you (PDP) is dividends of democracy and outline of what you were able to achieve in every sector of human endeavors from May 29, 2019 to May 29, 2020 not trading blaming game” the statement added.
