Two suspects, Feziechukwu Okolie and Udeme Daniel, have been taken into custody by Akwa Ibom State Police Command officers on charges of narcotics trafficking. This was revealed in a statement released on Sunday by Timfon John, the command’s public relations officer. John stated that several types of ammunition were found on the suspects after they were apprehended on Saturday following a raid on their home in the state’s Ring Road-3 area. She continued, saying, “On Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Ring Road-3 in Uyo, the suspects’ residence was raided by the command’s personnel, who made the recovery.

Udeme Francis Daniel, also known as “M,” is from Iwor Etor in the Etinan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, whilst Feziechukwu Kizito Okolie, also known as “M,” is from Abia-Omuma in the Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State. Items recovered from the suspects include an American SID Sauer pistol, a Japanese Powerline pistol, an American Phantom pistol, and a Nitro Air rifle with a detachable telescope.” A black bag holding two pistol magazines with ten rounds of live 9MM ammo, one black pistol casing, two pairs of leather gloves, and three wraps of suspected cannabis sativa were among the additional exhibits she cited.

John stated that the command was dedicated to purging the state of criminal activity, even though he acknowledged that the suspects had been the subject of a thorough investigation. “The suspects are currently in the command’s custody undergoing a detailed investigation. “The command assures the general public of its commitment to rid the state of crimes and criminality for public safety and security and encourages members of the Akwa Ibom public to share credible intelligence with the police towards the fight against crimes and criminality in the state,” she concluded. PUNK On August 27, Metro said that commando personnel had busted a criminal hideaway in the Afaha Offiong community in the state’s Nsit Ibom Local Government Area, leading to the arrest of six suspected cultists and drug traffickers.

The PPRO had previously revealed that during the raid, items thought to be cocaine, Indian hemp, and several mixed drinks were found in two bags. Kufre Godwin Okon, Uko Monday Edet, Cyril Michael, Gabriel Effiong, Joseph Effiong Okon, and Udofia Emmanuel Udofia were among the names she mentioned as possible drug sellers.
