The Chairman of Zamfara State Hisbah Commission, Mal. Umar Hassan Gusau has challenges the Minister of State Defense Bello Matawalle to go to court and clear his name over allegations of aiding banditry labelled against him.
Mal. Umar Hassan in a viral video warned an Islamic scholar, Mal. Alzamfary to desist from using his status as Islamic cleric in providing unnecessary defense for the Minister.
He challenged that, the Islamic cleric shall provide defense for the Minister on the allegations that he had once provided vehicles to group of armed bandits while he was a Governor of Zamfara.
He also asked for defense from Mal. Alzamfary on the allegations that one bandit leader had once come in a viral video and states that he has collected money worth N60M from the Minister for onward distribution to groups of bandits.
He has also challenged the Islamic Cleric to deny on behalf of Matawalle the allegations that he had once lodged some renown bandit kingpins inside the government house of Zamfara state.
He again challenged the Islamic cleric to defend on behalf of Minister Matawalle that he did not usually call other scholars behind the back after the release of his videos to inform them that they should not bother about Minister Matawalle because he is a “drunker”.
He warmed the cleric to always speak the truth regardless of whom it affects noting that if he can provide baseless defense for Matawalle here in the open world he cannot do same for him in the hereafter.
Mal. Umar Hassan insisted that for the Minister Bello Matawalle to convince people that he has no hands in banditry activities he shall go to the court and clear his name of these allegations.
