The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates have been declared the winners of the local government elections held in Benue state by Terlumun Tombowua, the chairman of the Benue State Independent Electoral Commission (BSIEC).

On Saturday, October 5, elections were held in all 23 local government districts of the state.

Additionally, Tombowua verified that the APC won in every one of the state’s 276 wards. The victory for the APC candidates marks a significant shift in political power within Benue state. This outcome demonstrates a strong show of support for the party’s agenda and leadership in the region.

Tombowua characterized the election as free, fair, and genuine while announcing the results at the BSIEC office in Makurdi on Sunday morning. He also mentioned that there had been no violent or vote box snatching occurrences. Overall, the peaceful conduct of the elections and the decisive victory for the APC reflect a growing confidence in the party’s ability to govern effectively in Benue state. The results signal a clear mandate from the people for the APC to lead and implement their policies for the betterment of the state.

Comrade Ibrahim Idoko, the chairman of the Labour Party in Benue State, complimented the BSIEC for holding an open election during his remarks.

Also, Comrade Idoko, who chairs the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC), extended his congratulations to the APC for their victory at the polls.
