A factional leader of one of the bandits groups, Turji was allegedly accused of launching a deadly attack at Kunhurki Community of Kaura Namoda emirate Council of Zamfafa State Wednesday.
According to a source, he invaded the community in broad daylight on Wednesday where his gang embarked on sporadic shooting, a circumstance that led to the killing of eight persons.
Narrating how the incident happened, the source told this medium that, the factional leader Turji allegedly threatened Dansade another bandits factional leader who accepted the peace deal of the government to return the over 100 camels and cows which he donated to him.
The source said, failure of the Dansade to return the camels and cows prompted the anger of the Turji camp to launch the deadly attack against people of Kungurki the base where Dansade leaves around.
The funeral prayer of one of the deceases Babangida Yusuf was conducted at Kaura Nanomda and was attended by many dignitaries including the Senior District Head of Kaura Namoda Sarkin Sudan, the Magajin Garin Kaura Namoda, Magayaki and Galadiman Kaura.
As at the time of filing this report the Spokes Person of Zamfara police command SP Shehu Muhammad couldn’t be reached for comment.
