Some suspected armed bandits had abducted about (23) women in Damaga/Gama Giwa district of Bungudu local government area of Zamfara state.
According to a source, the bandits ambushed the women who were going to the farm for firewood gathering.
The source informed this medium that the incident occurred on Wednesday morning, precisely after the early morning prayer.
The Gama Giwa incident occurred a few weeks after the killing of over twenty members of the organized vigilante group by some suspected armed bandits in Faru district of Maradun local government area of the state.
The police spokesperson ASP Yazid Muhammad promised to verify the incident and get back to us for confirmation.
