Suspected armed bandits invaded the Awala community in Zamfara and rustled over 2,000 cows.
A source said the bandits, armed with deadly weapons, stormed the Awala community and made off with over 2,000 cattle, also threatening the residents of the area.
At around 2:00 PM on Saturday, they began firing gunshots throughout Awala town, a situation that frightened the residents before they started moving with the cattle.
They moved toward the Huntaru area, some meters away from Bungudu, and people were seen in a viral video on social media seeking help.
We have made calls to demand security intervention as these bandits moved freely with the cattle toward an unknown destination.
