A few days after Gummi boat accident which claimed the lives of over forty people, another boat accident occurred at Bukkuyum local government area of Zamfara state.
Bukkuyum is the neighboring local government that shares boarder with Gummi in the Zamfara Western part of the State.
According to the council Alh Nasiru the accident occurred when over twenty passengers insisted that they most aboard the boat even though it was carrying two bills of CATTLE which were to be conveyed to Gummi market.
He said while the boat was moving along the water it has crash with some tree particles a circumstance that resulted to the outright accident.
He said about four people died, mostly children, while the remaining injured have been evacuated for medical treatment.
He explained that it was the insistence of the people to aboard the boat, no matter how heavily loaded it is that usually causes the accident.
He added that his government is making a concerted effort to ensure that, it procured brand-new boats from Yauri that are to be used in most of the rivers around his local government area.
