Al-mansoor Gusau a media aide to Senator for Zamfara West Abdul Aziz Yari Abubakar has dropped a bombshell when he alleged that his principal has donated money for 2023 election worth N500 Million naira to Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa.
Al-mansoor who break this news via his verified Facebook page insisted that even when the election of Zamfara Central Senatorial District was declared inconclusive, his principal Yari donated additional N200 Million naira to Senator Marafa.
It could be recalled that Sen. Kabiru Marafa contested for the post of Senator for Zamfara Central alongside Sen. Yari who contested for Senator Zamfara West in 2023 election under the platform of the All Progressive Congress.
But Senator Marafa lost his re-election bid to Sen. Ikira Aliyu Bilbis of the People’s Democratic Party in a keenly contested election.
Many believed that Sen. Marafa hold the grudges that APC members loyal to Sen. Yari refused him their votes as a strategy for taking revenge against his litigation in 2019, which resulted in APC losing all its elected positions to the PDP and NRM.
But in a reaction by Sen. Marafa camp, Shamsu Kasida described the allegation by Sen. Yari spokesperson as baseless, noting that it was the pain of the defeat of the 2019 general election that is still inching deep into the fabric of Sen. Yari And his political group.
He alleged that instead of supporting Marafa, Sen. Yari rally behind his opponent and offered him all sorts of support through one of his political allies Sani Gwamna Mayanchi.
He challenged Yari political camp or Ahmad Leda to come up with evidence to substantiate the claim.
