Zamfara state government has announced the suspension of the Emir of Birnin Yandoto with immediate effect.
According to the statement by the Secretary to the State Government Kabiru Balarabe the state government has distances itself with the recent turbanning of the bandit leader Ado Alieru.
The government has equally constituted a committee to investigate the circumstances leading to the action of the Emir.
Hon. Chado Yahaya Gora is to chair the committee, Yahaya Mohd Karma member, Hon. Umar Mohd Birnin Magaji, Lawal Abubakar Zanna, member, retired permanent Secretary Isah Moriki member while Barr. Musa Garba Permanent Secretary Ministry of Justice is to serve as the Secretary of the committee.
Alh. Mahe Garba Marafa, who is the District Head of ‘Yandoto is hereby assigned to take charge of the affairs of the Emirate.
