The Chief Imam of Masjudu Sahaba Malam Saidu Aliyu Maikwano has thrown a challenge to state Commissioner for Religious Affairs Malam Tukur Sani Jangebe to explain his role over the failure of his ministry to distribute the cows procured by Governor Marawalle for distribution to the needy last year.
Malam Saidu who laid down the challenge in continuation of his reaction against the comment credited to the Commissioner for Religious Affairs Malam Tukur Jangebe said, people of Zamfara are aware of what happened last year over the failure of the Ministry for Religious Affairs to distribute cows to the needy as approved by the Governor noting that the Commissioner has a duty to explain to Zamfara people what exactly happened.
“You need to tell Zamfara people what actually happened when your ministry failed to distribute the cows procured by Governor Matawalle till after sallah when government set up another committee for people to be given cash as against the cows”.
The scholar described the comments credited to Zamfara Commissioner for Religious Affairs as an act of sabotage noting that as someone who is part of the government, Jangebe is supposed to be corporate and wise in defending the government not to talk of coming to be making utterances that are considered inciting against the same government he is serving.
He said it is not in the orientation of the people of true faith (Ahlul Sunnah) to be making statements that are considered inciting instead they are expected to stand firm and protect the integrity of the government and its institutions.
Maikwano insisted that, government is a direct offshoot of the supremacy of God almighty and whosoever challenges it he is challenging the God almighty.
