ANNIVERSARY MESSAGE FROM STAFF AND MANAGEMENT OF THUNDER BLOWERS
On behalf of the management and the members of editorial board of this medium, we wish to congratulate Zamfara state Governor Dauda Lawal oh his 59 years anniversary.
While wishing him more energy and wisdom to steer the ship of the state we encourage him to remain steadfast and focus in addressing praising issues affecting the state.
His one year in office is a demonstration of genuine commitments toward transforming Zamfara state, especially his infrastructural reforms as well as urban renewal agenda.
The Governor’s approach toward transforming Gusau the state capital is a testimony of the simple fact that he has a serious concern about the dilapidation nature of Gusau the state capital, which has been neglected for some years now.
His visible effort toward addressing critical infrastructural needs of education and health sector is also commendable.
His single-handed decision to upset the backlog of gratuity of hundreds of thousands of retired state civil servants is no doubt a genuine commitment which requires extended commendation.
But this is not to imply that things are going well in the area of security.
No concern citizen of the state will be happy with the development in the area of insecurity and the effort put in place by government’s across all levels is not enough.
The setting up of Community Protection Guards is also a good decision, but a lot of need to be done to overhaul the organization, and it’s modus operandi to empower them to do more in complimenting the effort of the conventional security operatives.
The resignation of the Chairman of the Security Trust Fund Rtd IGP Abubakar is a demonstration of the simple fact that all is not well and the Governor in all honesty needs to restructure that institution of CPG and improve it.
Our highways leading to the entry to Zamfara from both Sokoto, Zaria, and all other areas are becoming more dangerous to commuters and people are becoming sacred day in day out.
The Governor needs to revisit the security situation with the members of his security council and bring out more workable options to save Zamfara.
May almighty Allah give him the strength to continue to do more developmental initiatives for the development of Zamfara state.
