Speaker of Zamfara State House of Assembly has instructed the State Board of Internal Revenue to deploy Revenue Desk Officers to all the Revenue Generating MDA’s in the state.
The Speaker stated this while receiving the report of the committee on Finance and Appropriation on the consideration of 2023 appropriation estimate.
Speaker Magarya also said the house will take a holistic review of the state Consolidated Revenue Law to ensure that leakages are blocked.
According to the House Spokesperson Nasiru Usman Biyabiki, the Speaker explained that though the house is in recess, it has to reopen to allow for consideration of the 2023 appropriation estimate in the interest of the state.
