The Independent National Electoral Commission (REC) has announced that the collation of results from the Edo State governorship election will begin at 10 am today. Dr Anugbum Omuoha, the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Edo State, assured the public that the process would be conducted with full transparency and in line with the commission’s existing regulations. The REC reiterated its commitment to ensuring the collation process follows established guidelines and appreciated the patience and cooperation of all parties involved.
He remarked, “As we work to ensure a credible and accurate outcome of this important election, we appreciate the parties’ cooperation and patience.”
The REC emphasized that INEC is still committed to holding a free, fair, and transparent election in Edo State and urged all parties involved to maintain composure and order.
