His Highness, The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero has charged Local Government Council Sole Administrators in Zamfara state to ensure prudent management of Resources as a better way of bringing the needed development down to the grass root.
The Emir gave the charge on Sunday at the state government house Gusau while on an interactive session with the state umbrella of Association of Local Government Councils of Nigeria (ALGON) as part of the activities marking his familiarisation visit to the state.
In a statement by the Press Secretary to the Governor of Zamfara Malam Jamilu Iliyasu Birnin Magaji reads that “the Emir charged them to have the fear of God in their official interactions reminding them that one day they would be call to account for their actions before their creator.
He maintained that, as leaders based at the community level they have a responsibility to draw action plans that will help bring development down to the grass root noting that, they have a duty to help people in promoting Islamic norms and values, national unity and integration and maintainance of law and order.
Explaining the purpose of his familiarisation visit to Zamfara State the monarch recalled the existing cordial relationship between Zamfara and Kano states especially on the area of trade, learning and scholarship as well as social relations and inter-marriage.
The monarch used the opportunity to commend the effort of the present administration of Bello Matawalle in Zamfara especially in restoring peace describing the initiative of Zamfara State Government in that regard as both timely and commendable
Earlier, the Zamfara state Chairman of the Association of local Government Councils of Nigeria (ALGON), who doubled as the Sole Administrator of Birnin magaji local government, Alhaji Muhammadu Umar commended the Emir of Kano for finding Zamfara State worthy of visit saying the visit will help along way in melting the long aged socio-economic relationship between the two states.
He also used the opportunity on behalf of ALGON to congratulate the Emir over his investiture and urged him to sustain the good legacies of his late father Alh. Ado Bayero
It could be recalled that, the Emir of Kano was in Zamfara State on state familiarisation visit to the Government and Traditional institutions in order to cement the existing cordial relationship and at the same time to explore more areas of Support and cooperation between Zamfara state and Kano Emirate Council
