An alleged faked lawyer by name Mr Chukwuka N. Jude has been intercepted by the Gusau branch of the Nigerian Barr. Association.
According to a detail statement by the Chairmam of the branch Barr. Junaidu Abubakar Esq, the alleged fake lawyer was arrested when he appeared in a court to prosecute a case he filed for his client.
One of the lawyer appearing with him Barr. Gambo objected to his appearance suspecting that Barr. Chukwuka was not a lawyer.
“The Imposter lawyer, Mr Chukwuka N Jude, met his Waterloo when he appeared in a Court in Gusau to prosecute a case he filed for his client which was objected by a Lawyer who happens to be an Executive member of the NBA Gusau Branch”.
“NBA Gusau Branch received a letter from a court in Gusau directing the NBA to investigate one J.N. CHUKWUKA Esq of J.N. Monyel & Co No. 20, Hayin Buba, Gusau, Zamfara State, whether he is a lawyer after he presented himself as a Lawyer to the court”.
Barr Junaidu explained that, “On that fateful day of 18th January, 2022 an argument ensued during the court’s proceedings in Gusau between a Lawyer and Public Relations Officer, PRO, of NBA Gusau Branch Gambo Isah Esq and Mr Chukwuka who presented himself as a lawyer and enters appearance to represent his client (plaintiff in the case)”
He explained further that, “On that fateful day of 18th January, 2022 an argument ensued during the court’s proceedings in Gusau between a Lawyer and Public Relations Officer, PRO, of NBA Gusau Branch Gambo Isah Esq and Mr Chukwuka who presented himself as a lawyer and enters appearance to represent his client (plaintiff in the case)”.
According to the statement Barr. Gambo Esq suspected Mr. Chukwuka of not being a Lawyer and informed the court of suspicion and challenged the Mr Chukwuka to show anything that will prove his claim that he is a lawyer and prays the court to order Mr Chukwuka to produce evidence to substantiate his claim that he is a lawyer.
After asking Mr Chukwuka whether if he is a lawyer he answered in affirmative butterflies🦋 poor people I pray🙌🙌 unable to produce any evidence to prove his claim. Hence the request by the court for NBA Gusau Branch to investigate Mr Chukwuka and handed him over to court duty Police.
Junaidu Abubakar Esq said, preliminary investigation revealed that Mr Chukwuka is not a Lawyer and found in his possession the following; N.J Monyel & Co. Chamber Staff I.D Card bearing his name: Chukwuka N. Jude Esq and his photograph in rob (wig and Gown); “Deed of Conveyance” (as written by him) prepared by J.N. Chukwuka Esq. amongst other documents.
