As part of efforts to strategize operations aimed at enhancing it’s participation in the fight against banditry, the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC)has deployed new commandant Bature Aliyu Garba to Zamfara State.
In a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer DSC Aminu Ismail Maru said the deployment of new commandant was approved by the commandant General NSCDC Abdullahi Gana Muhammad.
According to him, the deployment was part of efforts by the National leadership of NSCDC aimed at strategizing the corp Modus operandi in all formations in order to suppressed the activities of the nation’s economic saboteurs.
“In the fight against rural armed banditry, cattle rustling and kidnapping in the country, particularly the North-West Geopolitical zone.”
Until his deployment as new Zamfara commandant,Bature Aliyu Garba was the head of operations Department Zone D Headquarters Minna, Niger state.
“He replaced his predecessor commandant Aliyu Alh Garba who went on a retirement leave early August 2020”.
The new state commandant has pledged that the Zamfara Command (NSCDC) under his watch would foster unity within the league of security agencies in the state.
“We would strengthen civil Defence, community relations, create more awareness on the need for community participation into security architecture on society for a better future”.
He charged all officers and men of the zamfara state command to uphold moral virtues, dedication, selfless, fairness and justice in the discharge of duties in the state.
“I warned that my leadership will not tolerate any act of indiscipline and corrupt practices”.
He commended Governor Bello Matawalle for his doggedness and resilience in ensuring that peace and tranquility prevails through dialogue.
