The first flight of Zamfara intending pilgrims numbering (345) had left the Sultan Abubakar (111) International Airport Sokoto to the city of Medina on Friday.

Their trip marked the beginning of the commencement of 2022 Hajj exercise in the state.

Governor Bello Matawalle in company of the first lady Aisha Bello Matawalle addressed the pilgrims at the State Hajj Camp based in Samaru Gusau the state capital.
