Some of the APC executive members of Galadima Ward in Gusau local government had presented a letter notifying the National Headquarters of the party of the suspension of the State APC Chairman Mr. Tukur Umar Danfulani.
In a letter dated May 11th 2024 addressed to the National Chairman Mr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the aggrieved executive members accused the Chairman of lack of paying attention to the party activities at the ward level.
They also accused Mr. Tukur Danfulani of causing disunity among party members across all levels in the state as well as misplacement of duties and responsibilities of the state party Chairman among others.
The letter was equally read before the press men at the APC National Secretariat by the Youth Leader of the Galadima ward Mr Abuhuraira Iliyasu.
They specifically called on the party national to allow for appointment of the state caretaker Chairman for the smooth running of the party in the state.
It could be recalled that two days back the other executive members of the APC in Galadima ward alongside the local government executives raised objection to the suspension move by these groups citing procedural error adopted by this group of sixteen executive members as the basis.
The party through it’s state Publicity Secretary Mal Yusuf Idris Gusau had also urged the public to disregard such a move by these aggrieved members describing it as a move by some desprate politicians from within the APC that have intention of destroying the APC with the motive of introducing new party ahead of 2027 elections.
The APC Publicity Secretary Malam Yusuf Idris Gusau insisted that the steps taken by these aggrieved APC executives from Galadima ward is in breach of the constitution of the party and the procedures of lodging grievances by party members.
He insisted that these group of APC members from Galadima ward would be punish for going against the APC constitution and statutory laws.
