One of the PDP gubernatorial aspirants in Zamfara Dr. Dauda Lawal Gamjin Gusau has made a formal declaration of his gubernatorial aspiration in Gusau the capital city of Zamfara state on Sunday.
His declaration followed his series of consultation with his family members, friends, and well-wishers.
Before arriving the venue of the declaration, the politician was received by thousands of party supporters and well-wishers where a grand rally was organized in his honor.
The rally which was well attended by thousands of people started at the Zamfara border town with Katsina state (Yankara) and terminated in Gusau.
It took the politician more than eight hours to arrived Gusau as hundreds of well-wishers and party supporters from communities along Gusau-Zaria road came out in large number to wish him well and success.
Addressing the gathering, the aspirant Dr. Dauda Lawal expressed gratitude to all those who stood by him and supported his ambition, noting that what he saw today was a clear demonstration of how passionate Zamfara people are to effect the needed changes.
He assured them of his commitment to ensuring that Zamfara is fixed and also the deserving apparatus of development are instituted if elected as the Governor.
He thanked everyone for attending the rally and for supportibg him in the fulfillment of his gubernatorial aspiration.
Speaking during the declaration ceremony, former Minister of Communication Ikira Aliyu Bilbis expressed hope that PDP will bounce back in Zamfara and also triumph in the 2023 election.
