Governor Bello Matawalle has conducted an assessment visit of Tudun Wada market in Gusau the state capital to see things for himself and commiserate with the victims of the fire inferno
While urging the victims to consider the tragedy as an act of Allah, Matawalle implored them to always be careful with their electrical appliances while closing for the business of the day.
He directed that all the 63 shops affected by the fire incident be reconstructed by Gusau local government Sole Administrator Alh Sanusi Sarki Gusau.
According to the statement by the Director Public Enlightenment Media and Communication Malam Yusuf Idris said Governor Matawalle also set up an assessment committee to be led by Sheikh Ahmad Ibn Umar Kanoma with a mandate to assess the level of damage done and report back to the government within seven days.
He assured that his administration will continue to support business activities with a view to promoting economic prosperity.
Conducting round the Governor, Chairman of Traders Association of Zamfara Alh Balan Bayis informed the Governor that the fire started around 4:00am on Sunday and since the outbreak of the fire inferno since then all stakeholders have been actively working to ensure that the fire not spread wider.
He thanked the Governor for his concern and for immediately describing the step as morale boost
