The Special Adviser to Zamfara State Governor on Comprehensive Agricultural Programme (ZACAREP) Muzakkiru Sidi Bawa has alleged that Governor Bello Matawalle is releasing the sum of N10 million naira monthly as running cost for the APC Marafa faction since his inauguration as Zamfara Governor.
He also alleged that Matawalle is releasing the sum of N48 million naira monthly for payment of salary to political appointees from Senator Marafa’s faction.
Muzakkiru Sidi Bawa who made the declaration when he featured in a radio Zamfara special programme said, it is an act of betrayal for Senator Marafa to criticize Matawalle since he has done his best to accommodate his political liabilities.
He noted that when Senator Marafa invited them in Kaduna and asked them to pull out of Governor Matawalle’s government he challenged that proposal out rightly and informed the Senator that there is no reason for him to leave Matawalle’s government.
He described as unfortunate the statement credited to Senator Marafa during an APC function in Gusau on Sunday that “all those appointees from his faction who left for the PDP have left for a mission and would return at a later time” saying the statement is a figment of imagination.
He added that “since after that encounter with Senator Marafa in Kaduna we have never seen eye to eye neither communicate through telephone.
Sidi added that, at the age of forty they have every wisdom needed to take a decision of their own and explained that he has to join forces with Governor Matawalle with all sense of sincerity.
“Matawalle has given us Secretary to the State Government, a post of Commissioner and Special Advisers, and we have no reason to betray him”.
Muzakkiru further said when he listens to the Senator making his speeches at the APC rally on Sunday he thought the Senator wasn’t in his full senses hence he had not spoken like the usual Kabiru Marafa he knew.
But in a reaction, the Spokes Person of Senator Kabiru Marafa Bello Bakyasuwa Maradun denied that Matawalle is releasing N10 million monthly for running the Marafa led faction of the APC noting that Matawalle has never released a dime to the party.
He also insisted that, all those who left for the PDP from their faction have gone on a mission and would soon return after the mission is accomplished.
