Chairman of APC Rescue Mission in Zamfara Bello Bakysauwa Maradun has declared that, his group has given two week ultimatum to the former gubernatorial candidate of All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA in Zamfara State Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi to substantiate his allegation against some APC members in the State or be dragged to International Criminal Court (ICC).
Shinkafi had during a Press Conference early this month in his hometown raised an allegation that, some APC members have attempted to induce the bandits with 57 million naira to prevent them from releasing the abducted Jangebe School girls.
But APC rescue movement said security agencies should compel Shinkafi to probe his allegation beyond reasonable doubt since it is something that is not supposed to be taken lightly considering the volatile nature of the state.
Bakyasuwa said, if the security agencies have failed to act and compel Shinkafi to probe his allegations beyond reasonable doubt they are left with no option than to drag him to the International Criminal Court for prosecution.
He noted that, it is demeaning for the former APGA gubernatorial candidate to be making such types of heavy statements and blanket allegations against APC supporters without him being compelled to probe his source of information.
Bakyasuwa also warned Mr. Shinkafi to desist from talking about Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa regarding any political issue in Zamfara State since Senator Marafa has never joined issue with him for once.
In a reaction to the issues raised by the group, Sani Abdullahi Wamban Shinkafi said the threat by the APC rescue movement under the leadership of Bello Bakyasuwa Maradun is an empty one since the jurisdiction of the ICC borders around crimes against International Communities on matters related to genocide and war against humanity.
He cited reference with the cases involving former Liberian President Charles Tylor, Umar El-Bashir of Sudan and Sadamn Hussaini of Iraq noting that these are issues that involves the operation of the ICC not mere allegations on armed bandits activities.
He accused Bakyasuwa and his APC Rescue Mission of being ignorant of jurisdiction of the ICC.
