Zamfara Concern Forum (ZCF) a civil but non-governmental organization has raised concern on the alarming delay in the ongoing construction of Gusau to Talatar Mafara road which is awarded to the TRIACTA road construction firm by the Federal government of Nigeria.

According to the leader of the group, Comr. Mujitafa Rufai Gusau, the contract which was awarded almost three years back, has recorded minimal progress with work reaching only between Gusau and Furfuri.

According to the group, the delay in the reconstruction of the road by TRIACTA has caused serious traffic gridlock amidst serious threat of insecurity caused by armed bandit activities.

The group also expressed fear that the delay in the execution of the job may hinder the free flow of economic activities among the people of the state.

To abort the situation, the group called on the Federal minister of works to facilitate the construction firm to increase its workforce to ensure speedy completion of the project and also suggested that ensure work closely with the construction firm to ensure timely completion of the road project.

The group also alerted all stakeholders, including the state executive governor Dauda Lawal, National Human Right Commission, and other security agencies, for their notice and action.
