Over seventy people including pregnant women and children have been reported by the BBC Hausa Service to be abducted by some suspected bandits even as they moved away with unspecified number of livestock at Yarkatsina village in Bungudu local government area of Zamfara state.
“Bandits have taken over Yar Katsina market, for over a week they have been making suspicious vigilance of the town and assured the residents that they would frustrate effort of the farmers to conducting farming activities.
An eyewitness who spoke to the BBC Hausa Service in an interview said though the attack does not result in the killing of any person, children in their numbers have been abducted by the bandits.
According to the BBC security agencies in Zamfara State are yet to confirm the incident at Yar-Katsina village.
