Some suspected gunmen invaded the private residence of one Usamatu Nazifi and his immediate neighbor Bashar Ibrahim situated at Kaura Namoda local government area of Zamfara State.
Both of them are staffers of Kaura Namoda Federal Polytechnic in Zamfara State.
According to a resident of Kaura Namoda area Yusuf Ibrahim, the gunmen invaded the private residence of Usamatu Nazifi on Tuesday night while people have retired to bed.
He said they have struggled harder to move away with him for the purpose of abduction, but he resisted it a circumstance which angered the gunmen and instantly shot him to death.
Another source Ismaila Abubakar Kaura told this medium that, his neighbor Bashir Ibrahim was also shot to death after he attempted to offer help to late Usamatu who was shouting for help during the invasion.
It was also gathered that, the gunmen have abducted a woman in the area to an unknown destination.
Both of them reside at new low cost along Yankaba road directly opposite the permanent site of the Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda in Zamfara.
The area is believed to be at the outskirts of the ancient city of Kaura Namoda.
When contacted Zamfara State Police Command Public Relations Officer SP Shehu Muhammad confirmed the killing of the two staff of Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda but denied that a woman was abducted during the operation.
Shehu said since the ocurrence of the incident, police operatives are on the trail of the assailants.
He also said, investigation has commenced with a view to unravelling the motive behind the killing so that justice can take its course on any person or group found in connection with the act.
