Suspected gunmen invaded Mai Jatau village in Maradun local government area of Zamfara state killed eight persons and rustled many livestock.
A source who spoke to this medium on Friday said, the gunmen came to the town on Thursday night and started shooting sporadically, a situation which resulted in the killing of eight persons during the attack.
The source added that, the bandits also rustled many livestock during the attack.
Mai Jatau village is a few kilometers drive from Maradun local government area of the state.
The source also explained further that, another set of bandits attacked hanyar Gidan Dawwa which links Talatar Mafara local government with Maradun and collected money and other valuables from the traders who were returning from Talatar Mafara weekly Market.
The source added that the businessmen from Gidan Dawwa village were the major victims of the attack.
Zamfara state police command could not be reached for comment as at the time of filing this report.
