Another tragedy has befallen Kaduna State in North Western Nigeria on Thursday, as over 150 students of LEA Primary School in Kuriga Chikun local government area were abducted by suspected bandits.

According to a source, the incident occurred around 8:00am with the head teacher and other staff reportedly among the kidnap victims.

Although the exact number of the abducted victims remains unverified, residents estimated it to be around over 150.

A source informed journalists that the junior and secondary school relocated to the school building inside Kuriga town a few years ago due to insecurity abandoning their former school building located outside the town.

A resident, named Mal Shi’itu, confirmed the incident, saying most of the pupils ran out of the school when they sighted the bandits within the school premises.

It was confirmed that the victims were forced into the forest and there was no official statement explaining the whereabouts of the victims
