Residents of Bare Bari community in Katsina state few weeks back handed over one of their own to bandits for him to be killed.
Bare Bari is one of the neighboring border towns between Zamfara and Katsina state.
The incident occurred when a less than twenty year old bandit attacked the victim with AK47 rifle inside his farm.
When the young bandit threatened the victim to follow him to the forest he refused and instead over-powered and eventually killed him.
After killing the young bandit, the victim picked his AK47 and approached the people in the town where he narrated what transpired between himself and the late bandit.
But as unluckily as the victims, the community faulted his decision of killing the bandit and instead got him arrested.
According to a source, after arresting him they invited the Leadership of the bandits and asked them to decide the fate of the victim for killing one of their member.
The source said the community people were asked to tight the victim on top of the tree where twelve bandits bearing AK47 rifles were asked to fired one single shots each to the victims, a circumstance that led to his eventual death.
They said the decision taken against their community member was to allow them live in peace.
