The newly redeployed Police Commissioner to Zamfara state Husaaini Rabiu has resumed work on Thursday the 6th of May 2021.

An indigent of Niger State CP Hussaini took over from the former Police Commissioner Mr Abutu Yaro who was redeployed to Imo State as their new Police Commissioner.

He was born on 26th March 1962 in Niger state and attended both his primary and secondary schools at Niger state.

At the completion of his secondary school CP Hussaini moved to the then University of sokoto now Usman Danfodio University where he graduated in 1987 with Bachelor in Education.

After his successful graduation, he conducted his National Youth Service Scheme (NYSC) in oyo state in the year 1988.

He was later enlisted into the Nigeria police force on 3rd march 1990 as cadet Assistant superintendent of police (C/ASP) where he received his training at the prestigious police Academy (kaduna Annex).

CP Hussaini served the police force in different capacities as Deputy commissioner of police in charge of safer highway patrol, Force Headquarters Abuja, DC. SCID Bayelsa state, DC. operations, Edo state police command, and also he was one time a Deputy Police Commissioner Operations, zone 4 Makurdi, Benue state.

The new CP also served two times as Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of operations in Imo state from where he was promoted to the rank of substantive police commissioner and posted to the force headquarters to be in charge of “explosive ordinance device”.

Beside all these, he has held several other positions within the service before his redeployment to Zamfara State as Commissioner of Police.

In a statement by the Police Spokes Person in Zamfara SP Shehu said, the new commissioner of police has attended several professional courses amongst which include “Strategic Leadership Command Course 3/2016 among others.

In his introductory speech to the Strategic and tactical commanders of the command, reiterated his determination and commitment to enhance robust policing to actualize the transformation and repositioning Agenda of the Inspector General of police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba.

He also pledged to work in collaboration with other security agencies and host communities to strengthen and enhance community policing for sustainable security

He used the opportunity of the address to seek for continued cooperation and collaboration with the members of the public especially in the area of sharing useful and timely information to enable the command to rid the state of all forms of criminality.
