The former APC gubernatorial aspirant in Zamfara Dauda Lawan Dare has called on Zamfara State Government to develop ways of restructuring Gusau as the capital city of Zamfara.
Dauda Lawan who spoke exclusively with the Managing Editor of Thunder Blowers on Friday in Gusau insisted that it is shameful that 21 years after the creation of Zamfara state its capital city is looking as poor as local government headquarters.
He said anytime he visited Gusau from the entry point he feels heart torching as the city is still the way it is twenty years back.
On why Governors of Zamfara are not interested in remodeling Gusau as the capital city, Dauda insisted “nobody can tell you exact reason, but it is worrisome”.
He called on the present government of Bello Matawalle to consider fixing the capital city and give it a befitting outlook so that it can compete with any capital city in Nigeria.
“From whatever part of Nigeria you came from you have to pass through Gusau the capital city to access the rest part of the country, but it is not a good story to share, government need to do something urgently”
