A chieftain of All Progressive Congress APC in Zamfara retired Colonel Rabiu Garba Yandoto has accused former Governor Abdulazeez Yari Abubkar and Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa over the escalation of the lingering security challenges confronting the state.

Yandoto who dropped the shocking revelation while leading 300 other APC supporters from his constituency to the PDP at the state government house on Friday said his reason for the defection was to help complement the effort of the administration of Bello Matawalle in ending the lingering security challenges affecting the state.

He alleged that, as the Acting Chairman of the APC security committee for the state, he has useful documents that linked Zamfara former Governor Abdulazeez Yari and Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa with the insecurity challenges in the state.

Yandoto further alleged that during the 2019 elections, Senator Marafa sponsored the killing of three people from Yandoton Daji namely Alhaji Yusuf AG Yandoto who was the APC ward Chairman, Mallam Bala Yakubu, who was also a ward Exco and Mallam Abdullahi Haliru who was a polling unit chairman all in Yandoton Daji ward.

He further alleged that he is in custody of all the evidences to be used in indicting Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa as the one who supplied the perpetrators of the alleged murder with Den Guns and other dangerous weapons for them to execute the heinous act.

The retired military officer further said that he has already petitioned the Police and copied the State APC acting Chairman, Lawali M Liman and the then Tsafe Local Government Council Chairman, Alhaji Aliyu Abubakar MC.

He further informed the Governor that he has already filed a suit in a competent court of law to seek for justice on behalf of the victims.

He also appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Bello Matawalle to ensure that justice is done to the deceased persons and their suffering families so that it can serve as deterrent to all politicians who are aiding insecurity in the country.

Welcoming Col Yandoto and his supporters into the PDP Governor Bello Matawalle said his administration is determined to end insecurity in the state expressing confidence that with the intensified prayers offered by the good people of Zamfara the challenges will soon become a thing of the past.

He also assured them of level playing ground in the PDP and called on them to continue to support his administration’s effort in its fight against banditry and other criminal activities.

The Governor also expressed his happiness on how APC political supporters are joining PDP on the daily basis in the state describing it as a sign of acceptance of his government’s leadership style, policies and programmes.
