One of the strong chieftains of All Progressive Congress, Dauda Lawan has declared that, he has no problem with Matawalle defecting to the All Progressive Congress saying the constitution has granted freedom of political association.
Dauda Lawan who declared this during an exclusive interview with Thunder Blowers on Friday said those scared of Governor’s defection may have their reason for the fear but for me Matawalle or anybody can defect to APC if he so wishes.
He explained that though Senator Marafa consulted them before making his declaration during the launching of Ramadan welfare package in Gusau Dauda said he has sharply deferred with Marafa in that regard noting that Matawalle should feel free to come it’s a politics.
On the fear that if Matawalle defect to APC he would hijack the structure of the party, Dauda said, the fear is unnecessary since its God almighty who gives power to whomever he wishes
“You are here in 2019, and you have seen what happened, APC has the government in control the former Governor struggle harder to get the victory, but God decided the other way, this is politics” Dauda Lawan added.
