Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara said he had inherited a “state of war” in Zamfara State and that his tireless effort to restoring peace has changed the story.
The Governor who stated this during an interview with the Channels TV on Wednesday said, his government has achieved tremendously as compared to what they have inherited in the past.
The Governor said his primary concern was how to plush out the bandits not only from Zamfara but the country at large.
He said if he had the opportunity of being invited to attend the National Security Council meeting he would have brief the members of the true situation of things and how they can go about addressing the social crises in Zamfara state.
He said his administration has inherited the crises for eight years and that successive administration has turned the whole thing in to a money making venture.
Matawalle further said, any responsible government want its people to sleep with their eyes closed and that, if the security can be effective in crushing the bandits that is what Zamfara state wanted.
