IGP PRESENTS N16.8M TO NEXT OF KIN OF (15) SLAIN OFFICERS

Zamfara State Police Commissioner Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba, has presented the total sum of ₦16,899,245.94 (Sixteen Million, Eight Hundred and Ninety-Nine Thousand, Two Hundred and Forty-Five Naira, Ninety-Four Kobo) to the next of kin of 15 police officers who lost their lives in active service to the country.

The presentation was made on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, under the Group Life Assurance, Group Personal Accident, and IGP Family Welfare Scheme.

The initiative aims to provide financial relief and support to the families of personnel who paid the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

In his remarks, CP Maikaba expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of the Inspector-General of Police to the welfare of both serving and fallen officers.

He emphasized that the sacrifices made by these heroes would never be forgotten, and the Force remains dedicated to ensuring the well-being of the families they left behind.

He also urged the beneficiaries to make wise use of the funds, encouraging them to invest in sustainable ventures that could help secure the future of the deceased officers’ dependents.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Dahiru Lawali expressed deep appreciation to the Nigeria Police Force and the Inspector-General of Police for their support during this challenging period.
