The former gubernatorial candidate of All Progressive Grand Alliance in the 2019 general elections Sani Abdullahi Wanban Shinkafi has called on the Inspector General of Police to immediately arrest and investigate the former security adviser to former Governor Yari Alh Sani Gwamna Mayanchi over an audio conversation between him and Sarkin Fulani CHEDI which is circulating in the media.
Shinkafi who made the call during a media briefing in Gusau on Wednesday said, Sani Gwamna Mayanchi used a specified phone number to perfect a plan with Sarkin Fulani Chedi “suspected bandit leader” aimed at disrupting the relative peace enjoyed by the people of the state.
He accused the members of the APC faction led by Yari of planning evil to make Zamfara state ungovernable noting that relative facts have been found in connection with the allegation.
Shinkafi further said, evidences have been found on the alleged POS transfer of 50 million naira in Dole village of Moriki to one armed dealer for him to supply arms and ammunitions for the continued bandits activities in the state.
He further aaid, another arrest was made in Nasarawar Toto, Nasarawa State where some bandits were detected via an audio conversation between some bandits and aids of former Governor Yari perfecting a plan to supply arms to Bagegga in Anka local government area of Zamfara state.
Shinkafi further alleged that, another set of bandits were arrested while planning a supply of rockets to Dansadau in their plans to pull down military aircrafts that are shelling the forest.
He also alleged that, some bandits were also arrested while perfecting to supply 3300 ammunitions to one yellow residing in Dansadau forest.
He described former Governor Yari and his political allies as desprate politicians who are dead of returning to power in 2023 no matter the political circumstances.
