Kebbi State government has accused the immediate past Attorney General and Minister for Justice Abubakar Malami (SAN) for making politics out of his statement on insecurity in Kebbi State.
Malami has recently made a statement where he alleged that armed bandits attack on some communities in Zuru Emirate of Kebbi State resulted in the killings of over 200 innocent people in the area.
According to statements by the Kebbi State Commissioner for Information Yakubu Ahmqd and Governor’s Special Adviser on media Mr. Yahaya Sarki said the statements were made to earn Mr. Malami an undue political popularity in Kebbi State.
The Commissioner specifically pointed that, Malami has held superior positions from 2015 to 2023 and that same Zuru Emirate and other parts of Kebbi State had been waging into problems but same Malami has refused to do anything to rescue or support them.
He said Malami has never paid either sympathy or condolence visit to commiserate with the people of Kebbi State over insecurity.
