Former Provost of the Federal College of Education Technical Gusau Dr. Hassan Augie who was kidnapped alongside his wife and a son had regained his freedom few hours after they were abducted.
Information which is made available to this medium indicated that, the bandits invaded his private residents at Damba area of Gusau at around 2:00am on Friday after people have retired to bed.
It was gathered that the former provost and his son had initially escaped through the roofing of the house, but one of the informants that accompanied the bandits insisted that he was around when the former provost retired home and as such he has to be within the house.
The source stated further that, after a serious home search, the bandits identified where the provost and his son were hiding and move away with them toward Mada forest
This medium also gathered that, the wife was eventually released before living Damba area for some obvious reasons.
The husband and the son according to a source escaped in the hand of their abductors after some armed soldiers alongside members of the vigilante group trailed their movement along Mada forest.
It was learned that the sound of gunshots constantly fired by the soldiers scared the bandits, in a circumstance that warranted the gunmen to abandon the victims and run away.
The victims were reunited with their families.
