Police in Kaduna have dispersed members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (Shiites followers) following their pro-Palestine uprising they organized on Friday.
The protestors had moved to the street in demonstration of their dismay for the ongoing siege against the Palestinians in Gaza by the Israel people.
They start their protest from the NUJ Secretariat and follow through the popular Muhammad Buhari way and terminate their protest at the state office of the National Human Right Commission in Kaduna.
But a few minutes after the protest begins, police fired gunshots and spread tear-gas to disperse the protestors.
Some unconfirmed stories stated that as a result of the gunshots, two people were allegedly reported dead.
Aliyu Umar Tirmizi who spoke on behalf of the protestors said, for over (75) years, Israelis are murderously killing Palestinians, especially civilians, describing as unfortunate the manner in which they are killing women, children and aged ones.
“They have killed children of underage, aged persons, and they have destroyed countless places of worships for the Palestinians”.
“The Israelis, without recourse to freedom of worship they have done the worst for the Masjeed Al-Aqsa and prevented innocent people from accessing the mosque for their worship”.
