Former Zamfara State Governor and Senator representing Zamfara West Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has described the murder of Zamfara Islamic Scholar Mal. Hassan Mada as barbaric.
Yari who stated this through one of the spokesperson of his political group Ibrahim Dan Madamin Birnin Magaji described the development leading to the murder of Imam Hassan by some suspected bandits as deliberate attempt to drag Zamfara back to the barbaric era of Jahiliyah.
He urged the government of Zamfara not to allow the perpetrators to go unpunished so that it serve as deterrent to others.
He stated further that, the death of Malam Hassan Mada has created a vacuum particularly in the area of learning and scholarship.
He consoles with the family of the deceased and pray for God almighty to grant eternal rest
