An Official Response to the Press Release by Zamfara APC Publicity Secretary by Jajiya Political Group. ( JAJI VANGUARD)

It does appear that Zamfara APC leaders, the likes of Sen. Yari and Bello Muhammad Matawalle the serving Minister of State for Defence and indeed their supporters are not good students of history because the recent developments within the party clearly demonstrates that more troubles await the APC Zamfara in 2027 and even beyond.
Except if the rumors of the formation of the Mega party are true and maybe Yari, Matawalle and their teeming supporters may be willing to join the new party (Mega party) if it is eventually formed, no serious minded person will think of wasting his time suffering for the APC in Zamfara with the hope of winning election.
When Senator Kabir Marafa made some predictions about the future of the Zamfara APC in 2019, not many people understood his political prophecy but gradually his predictions of the crash of the APC are visibly manifesting with no sign of remorse.
It is our belief that the problem of Zamfara APC is caused by three major political characteristics exhibited by the principal leaders of the party which eventually infected their teeming followers.
Number one, the sinister “political arrogance” by the leader of one of the political groups who always believes that there will be no APC without him in Zamfara and that with money he can induce and influence the unbelievable within the party and beyond.
Secondly, another set of problems affecting the party can be seen from the perspective of “childish behavior” and lack of seriousness by one of the leaders of the APC who always relies on opportunism rather than competency to continue to manipulate powers at all cost within the party.
The third factor is that of “blind followers” who were psychologically enslaved through artificial poverty and always succumb to the threat of these two categories of leaders because of monetary inducements.
These characteristics have manifestly spoken volumes about what is happening with the Zamfara APC and why no one will take the party seriously except if he has fallen within the third category.
The article by Yusuf Idris Gusau dated 13th July 2024 is a clear manifestation of the third category of the problem stated in this piece and how he (Mr. Idris) is badly infected because the writer has fallen short of understanding the problem confronting the party in the state not to talk of communicating to people the best way to manage the crisis.
But for anyone who is very familiar with the crisis within the Zamfara APC since 2018, will agree with us that the party has lost its solid ground as a result of the political arrogance of former Governor Yari and for Dr Aminu Jaji and his allies they only worked against the single-handed decision and indecision of the former Governor by getting his illegal political deal aborted by the Apex Court.
We are sure Nigerians have not forgotten the position of the National leadership of the APC led by Adams Oshiomole then over what former Governor Yari had done and the President Buhari as at that time could have not allowed what happened to the APC by way of losing the whole elected positions to occur. But because what Hon. Abdulaziz Yari has done is purely unconstitutional and illegal, Buhari and indeed the National Headquarters of the party allowed it so that it can serve as a deterrent to the former Governor and indeed his co-travelers.
Secondly, if not because of what Jaji and his allies have done, Minister Bello Matawalle couldn’t have reaped the benefits of emerging as Governor of Zamfara state looking at his performance in 2019 elections and the nature of the team he assembled.
Again, after Matawalle destroyed the PDP, the political party he rode to win election through the verdict of the Apex Court, it was the same Aminu Sani Jaji that stood behind him against strong opposition by the likes of Sen. Yari making his journey to APC a successful one.
One will not be surprised that the same Matawalle in quandary now as his bad blood caused the APC shameless defeat in the 2023 elections lost his incumbency to a first – timer politician, Dauda Lawal who won ten local governments against three won by Matawalle and APC.
Shamelessly indeed, Matawalle could not win his only two state constituencies as PDP defeated him hands down at Maradun (11) state House of Assembly constituency.
Hon Aminu Sani Jaji on the other hand won his seat of the Federal House of Representatives for Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal constituency, scored massive vote for Senator Sahabi Yau as the Senator for Zamfara North Senatorial Zone and indeed secured 100 % victory for the President Bola Ahmad Tinubu in his Birnin Magaji hometown and indeed Zamfara North Senatorial Zone as a whole.
During the Governorship race, despite security challenges that could not allow election to be held in four out of the ten state assembly constituencies in Birnin Magaji local Government, Jaji delivered the six wards where election took place to the APC with a landslide victory.
He has also secured a landslide victory for his only state assembly member in the ten political wards that make up Birnin Magaji state Assembly constituency.
The publicity secretary (Mal Yusuf Idris) needs to be wary of the political history of the APC since it’s formation and stop embarrassing himself because if his principals really have “political conscience” they would surely chase him away from them for causing more trouble than peace for their political survival.
Instead of Mr. Idris taking the path of peace and seeking for genuine reconciliation with the Jaji and his allies the likes of Senator Marafa political group, he always issues statements that are considered injurious to the political stability of the party.
On the grounds that the leadership of the APC in Zamfara is still under the control of Tukur Umar Dan Fulani as claimed by Mr. Idris, it is our humble view that Mr. Idris is playing a game of deceit because the party is ruined under the beret of political sabotage and sycophancy under the watch of his principals Bello Matawalle and Senator Yari.
The party at the National level should either wade into the crisis or allow these selfish political leaders to destroy it and move to the upcoming mega party if it is eventually formed.
It is clear that Matawalle has nothing to lose when APC is destroyed in Zamfara because he has never participated in its formation nor supported the party visibly in its building process.
In fact, it was a consensus that APC would have emerged stronger and victorious in Zamfara if Matawalle had not joined it after the 2019 crisis because its popularity in the state was incontestable.
As for those who believe that, Jaji and Marafa do not constitute a threat to the chances of the party in the state, they are dreaming because reality will always speak for itself.
Whether Yari and Matawalle faction of the APC believe there are issues within the APC or not, reality would not be shielded and unless certain steps are taken to address the problem, the party may continue to suffer in 2027 and beyond.
