Major General Kevin Aligbe, the commander of Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) in the Nigerian Army, has given officers and soldiers assurances that the fight against banditry and insurgency will soon come to an end.

The Army would put an end to its struggle against insecurity, according to Major General Aligbe, and then head back to the barracks.

At a celebration for candidates who took part in the 2024 Captain to Major Practical Promotion Examination (CMPPE), Aligbe gave a speech in Akure.

But he stated they had a greater mission to bring peace to the nation and the world, therefore they wouldn’t stay in the barracks for very long.

The participants received assurances from the CMPPE President that they would be eligible to be selected for admission to the Junior Staff Course at Jaji or any of the subscribing staff institutions abroad, following the conclusion of the examination.

The fact that you finished this practice in a manner similar to how you began indicates that there was discipline.

It implies that you were organized and prepared for the more difficult jobs you will be taking on.

This is a significant turning point. You will always remember this encounter. We continue to struggle with insecurity taking in different forms. We have to get this conflict over with so we can go back to the barracks and take care of other business.

Be ready to return to the field at any moment to assist with regional or international efforts to bring peace to the continent and the world. First, you have to accept this nation. The Army is well-managed.

He commanded them to keep the nation in mind at all times.

The officers were commended for their exemplary behavior during the examination period by Major General Obinna Onubogu, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 2 Division, who was represented by Brig. Gen. John Lar, Commander of the 32 Artillery Brigade, Akure.

I want to encourage the candidates to stay calm and hope for the best, even though I know the examination is over,” he stated. He also emphasized the importance of discipline and dedication in serving the nation. The candidates were reminded to uphold the values of the Nigerian Army and continue to strive for excellence in their future endeavors.
