Former Minister of Youths and Sport Development Solomon Dalung has stated that Nigerian politicians are worse than the military in terms of their heartlessness to the citizenry.

Solomon Dalung who spoke with the BBC Hausa insisted that politicians are been wicked to the citizens of the state, so much so that they have instigated serious hardship on them.

He insisted that, Nigeria has not reached the stage it supposed to reach in terms of provision of dividends of democracy.

He added that within the last twenty-five years of uninterrupted democracy, Nigeria has recorded serious economic setback lower than it was anticipated.

He cited reference that there was a time when the exchange rate of USD to Naira used to be 1USD to N10 but noted with dismay that the United States dollar is now exchanged to about N1, 500.

On the area of education, Dalung insisted that one cannot compare the quality of education in Nigeria then and now.

He noted that the same analysis goes to agriculture, livestock development and a host of other factors.

But he blamed that the system which used to be good before now has changed dramatically noting that if to say Nigeria used to practice system similar to that of Great Britain things would have improved per better.

But Dalung blamed the military for the Nigeria’s democratic problem.

He expressed deep concern over the hardship encounters by larger population of Nigeria due to some undemocratic decisions.
