The leadership of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corp has assured that it will dismiss one of its operatives ASP Maikano Sarkin Tasha who was paraded by the Nigerian police force over allegations of supplying arms and ammunition to bandits.
The state commandant of the Corp Sani Mustapha while briefing newsmen insisted that the Corp has exonerated its self from the dubious activities of the operative and insisted that if the allegations labelled against the operative are confirmed he will be dismissed from service.
According to Commandant Sani Mustapha beyond the dismissal the Commandant General has instructed that the officer be prosecuted in court.
“He embarked on this criminal activities on his own and without the consent of the command, and therefore he shall be liable for his actions”.
“The Corp is known to be decent and always promote what is legitimate so anything contrary to this we are not party to it”.
Commandant Sani Mustapha therefore assured that he will discuss further with the state police commissioner on the next line of action to be instituted.
He assured that he will keep the public in the know of the outcome of the investigation accordingly.
He also affirmed that his Corp will continue to work hand in hand with other security agencies to ensure that banditry and other forms of criminalities have ended in Zamfara
