NUC APPROVED ADDITIONAL COURSES AT UDUS
The National Universities Commission NUC has approved the establishment of faculty of Dental sciences in Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto.
Vice Chancellor of the institution Professor Lawal Sulaiman Bilbis disclosed this when he led members of his Management  who paid courtesy visit to governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal at Government house Sokoto.
The vice Chancellor explained that following the approval obtained the institution would commence The Bachelor of Dental surgery as from next academic session 2019/2020.
 Professor Bilbis further said that the University is awaiting approval to run mass communication, Nutrition, Physiotherapy and Opthalmology programmes.
 
The VC thanked Sokoto State Government for it’s continuous assistance to the institution.
 He said that the authorities of the University would soon commence the gradual fencing of the institution’s land area .
Responding Sokoto State governor Rt hon Aminu waziri Tambuwal thanked the management team for the visit and assured them of continuous collaboration with the state government.
Tambuwal commended the peaceful disposition of the University and hope the tempo would be sustained.
Governor Tambuwal congratulated the vice Chancellor and his deputies on their emergence and wish them successful tenure in office.
