An APC Chieftain in Zamfara Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi has described the letter written by former President Obasanjo asking for suspension of the 2023 Presidential election as invitation to calamity.
Wamban Shinkafi who stated this during a press conference in Gusau on Monday insisted that, Obasanjo shall be charged for treasonable felony; hence the letter is aimed at inciting the public against the constituted authorities.
He said “Obasanjo want a repeat of June 12 with the aim of crashing the nation’s democracy, noting that he does not want peace and democracy.
“I am calling on the head of security agencies to invite Obasanjo for questioning, adding that he shall be made to sign undertaking for whatever happened in case there is a breakdown of the law and order in the country”.
“If any of the contestants feel not satisfied with the outcome of the election, the electoral laws in Nigeria are very clear and they provided options for the aggrieved candidates to head to court and seek for redress”.
