The wife of the President of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu has called on the Nigerians to participate actively in farming activities, noting that the country has the potential of providing sufficient food security.
Mrs. Tinubu made the call when she received in audience the United Nations Deputy Secretary General Mrs. Amina Muhammad at her office in the state house, Abuja on Thursday.
She noted that the initiative by her foundation titled ‘Renewed Hope Initiative’ which includes enhancing participation in Agriculture, job creation and improving the quality of the health care system was done in order to strengthen the vision of the administration of her husband.
“Mr. President has instituted the right machinery to transform Nigeria and there is need for us to be honest people and tap from the opportunities of our potential resources”.
She therefore expressed the need to encourage the youth about the sincerity of the Nigerian project.
On her plans for the IDP’s, Mrs. Tinubu insisted that her foundation has concluded a plan to start feeding the IDP’s and less privilege individuals on monthly basis.
