Zamfara State Commissioner for Finance Rabiu Garba has declared that, only State Executive Council can determine if the state University Talatar Mafara would be allow to continue operate.
The Commissioner who declared this while answering questions from the journalists in Gusau on Tuesday said, formal complaint has already being lodged to the appropriate security agencies regarding the 10.8 billion naira allegedly looted by the officials of the immediate past administration regarding construction works ongoing at the permanent site of the University in Mafara.
He noted further that some culprits have been identified and arrested and that some of them have already confessed to the security agencies investigating the matter on their alleged involvement in the looting.
While refusing to mention the names of the culprits he said, security agencies would made their findings public at the appropriate time.q
On the number of kilometers of Federal roads constructed by the immediate past administration of Yari the Commissioner noted that, only State ministry of works can give that accurate statistics.
