Owner of Sonny Past food in Zamfara has declined to collect the demand notice for the payment of tax issued to him by Zamfara State Board of Internal Revenue Services.
Chairman of the board Ali Akilu Dama who declared this when he featured in Thunder Blowers TV show “Tirka-Tirka” said it was unfortunate that an entrepreneur like owner of Sonny Past food who is generating huge amount of money from Zamfara people could not see it as a moral obligation to pay tax to Zamfara state government.
He added that despite effort by the tax collectors to convince the owner of the Sonny Past Food to collect the demand notice and pay the tax to the government, he declined.
He added that, this has been the challenges faced by the board in trying to change the attitude of the people toward payment of tax.
