Speaker Zamfara State House of Assembly Bilyaminu Ismail Moriki has declared that the parallel proceeding conducted by Zamfara suspended lawmakers as illegal, null and void.
The Speaker in an interview with the members of the press insisted that any legitimate proceeding by members of the state house of assembly must be conducted in the State House of Assembly complex, which he is located in Gusau.
He further said, since there is a pending case between the state assembly and the suspended lawmakers, he has no much to say pending the determination of the matter.
He also said what makes the parallel proceeding worst was that one of the members who participated in what he termed as illegal proceeding had his seat declared vacant by the members of the state house of assembly making him not a legitimate state lawmaker.
He said this same lawmaker has his case pending before a court of law and that there is a substantive court order which ask parties to maintain status quo pending determination of the matter.
